Provided individual colleges’ and units’ DEI planning teams with DEI training
In Spring 2022, thirty-four university members attended a three-hour workshop on crafting DEI strategic plans provided by Dr. John Burkhardt, Dr. Betty Overton, and Dr. Christopher Shultz. The objective of the workshop was to explore: “what does a DEI plan look like for your school or unit? how do you write effective DEI plans that provide guidance for faculty, staff, and students (localized) and align with university-level goals (generalized)? When (and by whom) should these plans be written?” The workshop also introduced issues of implementation and evaluation.
