Curriculum
Students will comprise a cohort that will take some classes together, and others across campus. Classes will cover a range of disciplines, similar to the foundational classes that first-year college students traditionally take. Access College students will also enroll in classes and workshops designed to provide additional support (adjusting to college life, study skills, identifying strengths and interests, learning about career paths, financial management, resiliency, etc.), and receive other support services to suit their needs.
Our program provides opportunities for students to begin taking courses within their major during their first year at Valpo! Students will work with their academic advisor at FOCUS (New Student Orientation) to create the schedule that works for them.
