Five nursing students presented their research on the effects of lifestyle and health behaviors on quality of life at the Sigma Theta Tau International Biennial Convention in Indianapolis in early November.
Julie Wingstrom, Evelyn Gomez, Molly Grime, Meranda Block and Kara Jachinski discussed their research project “Relationships Among Lifestyle, Health Behaviors, and Health Status for Underserved and Uninsured Adult Clients.”
Their research, conducted among medically underserved patients at HealthLinc, a free clinic in Valparaiso’s Hilltop neighborhood, is part of an ongoing study by our CON students.
Professors Elise Alverson and Theresa Kessler also attended the conference, hosted by STT, the international nursing honor society.
