WELCOME TO THE DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC
Valparaiso University has been training musicians to become performers, teachers, and scholars for over a century.  As a student at Valpo, you will engage in an intellectually and musically challenging course of study that combines the best of liberal education with professional studies. As you develop your craft, you will form lifelong friendships in the classroom and on the concert stage.  And if you are majoring in another discipline, Valpo has a long tradition of welcoming students from across campus to participate in music classes, ensembles, and lessons.
