- LARA PUDWELL AWARDED AWM-NSF GRANT
Lara Pudwell, assistant professor of mathematics and computer science, was awarded a competitive travel grant of $1,440.00, from the Association for Women in Mathematics and the National Science Foundation. The AWM-NSF Travel Grants program enables women to attend research conferences in order to help advance their research activities and enhance their visibility in the research community. Lara’s grant will enable her to attend the Permutation Patterns 2009 research conference in Florence, Italy, July 13-17, 2009, to present her current research on barred permutation patterns.
