The Inauguration of Reverend Brian E. Konkol, Ph.D.

On September 25, 2026, the Valparaiso University community gathered for the inauguration of the Rev. Brian E. Konkol, Ph.D., as the University’s 20th president. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and government, church, and academic representatives from across the country filled the Chapel of the Resurrection to mark this historic moment in Valpo’s story. Rooted in faith, learning, and service, the ceremony celebrated both the University’s enduring mission and the promise of the chapter ahead. In his inaugural address, Rev. Konkol called upon the Valpo community to embrace the future with courage and to continue building lives of purpose and service: “The future is calling and, by God’s grace, let us answer.”
