Julie Thomas, Director

Julie joined Valparaiso University in September 2000 after serving in a marketing/communication capacity for non-profit organizations.  She received her bachelor’s of arts in Communication with a public relations concentration from Valparaiso University in 1994.  She lives in Whiting, IN with her husband Rick and their son, Robby.  They spend a lot of time in Wisconsin taking care of the farm where Rick grew up and cheering for their favorite teams:  the Packers and the Brewers.

Karen joined Valparaiso University in June 2008.  She has extensive experience in office management and accounting.  She has two daughters Lexi (15) who is on the Volleyball and Basketball teams and Lacey (8) who loves soccer.   With her husband Brian she coaches Middle School Poms and 5th & 6th grade girls basketball.  They live in the country on a mini farm, which includes 1 mini donkey, a pony, pygmy goats (13) and the new addition of 3 "fainting" goats.
