Student Nursing Association

The Student Nurses Association is a national organization that celebrates nursing and promotes discussion of current healthcare issues. Our chapter is service-based and members volunteer for many local organizations and events. The National Student Nurses’ Association convention also raises new issues that affect the future of nursing. Valparaiso University students represented our College of Nursing and Health Professions at the NSNA meetings in 2010, 2013, and 2014.

Advanced Simulations

The Virtual Nursing Learning Center offers patient stations complete with interactive mannequins, beds, and equipment, simulating a healthcare environment. Using mannequins that are realistic in almost every way, students practice examinations and procedures. A recent expansion offers more opportunities for hands-on learning.
