Jennifer Smolnicky

Jennifer has served Valparaiso University since the spring of 2003.  Her advisees include transfer students, international students and accelerated students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program, and undergraduate exercise science students.  Additionally, she serves students in the ASN-BSN program.  In 1997, she received her B.A at Hanover College (IN) and is in the process of completing her Master’s Degree from Valparaiso University.

Jennifer has over twenty (20) years of experience working directly with domestic and international students in education.  Her background includes developing strategies for undergraduate admissions, community college partnership, recruitment and retention.  She has assisted countless first time and transfer students in navigating their way through the enrollment process.  In her current responsibilities, Jennifer serves to support students in reaching their academic, career and personal goals and is a member of the Council of Academic Advisors.  Her on-campus training includes Safe Zone, Mental Health First Aid, QPR Gatekeeper and OMP’s Can I Academy.
