A Vespers Concert

Grace Unbounded, Love Divine ~ Christmas at Valpo 2026

Begin the Advent and Christmas season with Valparaiso University. The community gathers the first weekend of December each year to share a joyful evening featuring a vespers concert in the Chapel of the Resurrection and a global-themed Christmas dinner in the Harre Union Ballrooms. Ticket sales begin October 1.

General Admission: $20/person
Children 6 and under: Free
Valpo Faculty, Staff, and Students: *Free

Parking

Free parking is available in Lots 14 and 15, which are west of the Harre Union. You can walk to the Chapel from these lots, or a free campus shuttle will be making round trips throughout the evening to these lots, as well.
The Chapel turn-around will be restricted to drop off only. VU Police will be present to limit access.

We invite you to join us for a festive Christmas dinner before the Vespers Concert! This meal will feature a selection of Christmas dishes from around the world, reflecting Valparaiso University’s global influence and the international impact of the Lutheran tradition. Dinner attendees will have preferred seating reserved at the concert.

The dinner will be served buffet-style. While we will do our best to have options that can accommodate common allergens or dietary needs, if you have any specific concerns email them to .

New this year: All tickets should be purchased online.
*Valpo faculty, staff, and students will receive a coupon code for their complimentary tickets.

Note:
Tickets are expected to sell out before Thanksgiving, so advance purchase is strongly recommended. At-the-door ticket availability is not guaranteed and is expected to be very limited, if available at all. Any remaining tickets sold on the night of the event will cost an additional $5 per ticket.

Ticket sales begin October 1st.
