Parking Permits
To ensure safe and organized parking across Valparaiso University’s campus, all motorized vehicles operated by students, faculty, and staff are required to display a valid campus parking permit. Permits are categorized based on residency, role, and location.
Registration is handled through the Parking Self-Service portal via DataVU. Please have your license and state vehicle registration available to complete the process.
A campus e-mail will be distributed to all students once the application process for 2025-2026 academic year parking permits becomes available.
Getting Around Campus
Bicycle and Scooter Registration
The Valparaiso University Parking Office requires that all bicycles/scooters on campus be registered. To receive a registration sticker, bicycle/scooter owners will need to submit the registration form provided below. In the event that your bicycle/scooter is lost or stolen, the Valparaiso University Police Department can file a report that may help aid in the recovery of your property.
There is no registration fee for registering bicycles/scooters on campus. When not in use, bicycles/scooters must be placed in a designated bicycle rack, and it is recommended the bicycle/scooter be locked and secured.
Storing Your Bicycle or Scooter
Valparaiso University offers a storage program for owners of bicycles and scooters during the winter months as well as over the summer. Bicycles and scooters will be stored at the Fitness Center.
Students/faculty/staff will check-in their bicycle/scooter ahead of the winter and then check-out their bicycle/scooter following spring break. The same process applies for checking these items in prior to the summer and then out upon returning to campus in August.
